We are excited to announce that Mathew Mueller will be planting the next Valley Life Church in North Peoria fall 2020! Valley Life North Peoria is currently meeting in community groups across the North Peoria area. If you would like to get plugged into a community group you can do so here.
Our current location is in one of the fastest growing areas in the greater Phoenix Area, with new people moving to the area constantly. The majority of the population in our area is single family units with a strong emphasis on raising children. This is evident through the many community events that are based around children. We have a heart for the community and desire to see God work here. With the constant growth, we desire to help reach those people who have either never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ or have no Gospel community in their lives.
Currently Valley Life North Peoria is building a relationship with a local elementary school in an effort to show the school the love of Christ. It is our hope that, through serving the school with love, we can show the community that we are the heart of Christ. We do this through serving the school and it’s staff, the students who attend, and the families that are affiliated with that school. We believe this partnership with this school is a key to seeing the Gospel move in North Peoria.
Having been planted out of another church, we desire to continue the church planting movement here in Phoenix. We desire to grow to be able to see churches planted to the fourth generation. Valley Life North Peoria doesn’t exist for itself but to see disciples made all across the valley and to see churches plant rise from those disciples.
The Bible teaches that everything belongs to God, and that man is merely a steward of His world. As we increasingly learn to understand the gospel, giving is not seen as an obligation, but as an act of worship.
As Jesus gave himself for our redemption, so we too ought to give cheerfully and generously to meet the needs of our community and our world. Valley Life believes in this vision, and as such we direct at least 10% of our budget to missions and church planting. We hope that as you see the gospel in your life, you will see planned, regular giving as part of your worshipful response to God.
We will be knocking down walls and restructuring the interior of the building to combine our current space with the space currently occupied by CrossFit. With our changes:
We are taking on this project because we will plant stronger churches when we are a stronger church. Also, we are the kind of church who can do this. God has given Valley Life Church the mission to make disciples and plant churches, and we must be careful not to let anything derail us. In the short history of this church, it has never existed for itself. We exist to make disciples of people who are not here yet, and to plant churches in places that we may never visit. This self-sacrificing mission has made us a generous, others-focused people. This selfless assumption makes us the perfect people to complete this building.
It is our goal to complete this within the next two years. We will begin the capital campaign to start raising money and will build in phases. We have no desire to take on more debt, but see ourselves raising money, building, raising money, building, until the expansion is complete.
We’ve projected it to cost 1.5 million which we would like to raise over the next 2 years during the campaign.
This is a big deal and we expect questions, so please send any questions to: PressOnQuestions@valleylife.church
